In this article

  • mnml.ai is an AI design studio with credit plans and real plugins for SketchUp, Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper
  • It is ahead on plugins, 8K upscaling, DXF export and the number of AI assistants it connects to
  • AI Render Studio is ahead on what happens when a render goes wrong: a free re-run when lines drift, automatic refunds and credits that never expire
  • Test both with the same view of your own project before you pay for either

mnml.ai is an AI studio for architectural design and visualization. It renders exteriors, interiors, landscapes and plans, and it has plugins for SketchUp, Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper. It is a strong product with a large user base. People look for an mnml.ai alternative for a few clear reasons: they want a clear rule for what happens when a render goes wrong, they want credits that never expire, or they want prices in their own currency with tax included.

We make one of those alternatives, the AI Render Studio, so read this as a comparison written by a competitor. We state where mnml.ai is stronger as plainly as where we are. Every mnml.ai fact below comes from its pricing page and home page, read on 5 November 2026. Check those pages before you decide, because plans change.

What mnml.ai offers in 2026

mnml.ai works in the browser and inside your modeling program. Its plugins cover SketchUp 2026 on Windows and Mac, Revit 2024 to 2027 on Windows, Rhino 8 and Grasshopper. It also connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI assistants through its own MCP server. Every plan includes all of its tools, 8K upscaling, PNG and DXF export and a commercial license.

The pricing page listed 3 monthly plans and a one-time credit pack on 5 November 2026. Annual billing gives 2 months free.

Plan Price Credits What the page says they buy
Lite $29 a month 1,000 a month About 100 Fast renders or 33 Ultra renders
Plus $49 a month 3,000 a month About 300 Fast renders or 100 Ultra renders
Studio $119 a month 10,000 a month About 1,000 Fast renders or 333 Ultra renders
One-time pack $149 10,000, valid for 12 months About 1,000 Fast renders or 333 Ultra renders

Unused plan credits roll over, up to 2 months’ worth. Top-up credits never expire. New accounts get 100 free credits with no card. The FAQ says refunds are not typically available, because the free credits are there to test the platform first. Students and educators get a discount, and mnml.ai states that it does not train models on your data.

Where mnml.ai is stronger

A fair comparison starts with what the other tool does better. On the facts we could check, mnml.ai is ahead in these areas:

Have a 3D model? Our AI Render Studio turns a screenshot of it into a photoreal image in about 20 seconds. Your first render needs no account.

Render your model free
  • Real plugins. You can render from inside SketchUp, Revit, Rhino or Grasshopper. We work from screenshots, with no plugin yet.
  • 8K upscaling and DXF export. Both come with every plan.
  • More AI assistants. Beyond ChatGPT and Claude, it connects to Gemini, Copilot, Cursor and others.
  • More tools in one place. Sketch to image, style transfer, walkthrough animation, masterplans and landscape design are all included.
  • A one-time pack. If you only need renders for one project, you can buy credits once with no subscription.
  • Batch design options. The Grasshopper plugin makes several design options in one batch.

There are several ways to get a render out of a Revit model: mnml.ai uses a plugin, while we use a screenshot of the view.

Why choose an mnml.ai alternative

Our AI Render Studio is built around one promise: the building in the render is the building in your model, and when it is not, you do not pay for the mistake. You upload a screenshot of a view from SketchUp, Revit, Archicad, Rhino or any other 3D program, and a photoreal render comes back in about 20 seconds.

These are the points where we are ahead:

  • A free re-run when the lines drift. AI can still move a window or change a roof line. If that happens, the re-run is on us. Failed renders are refunded in credits automatically.
  • You can check that your building was kept. Every result opens with a drag line over your own screenshot, so you see what moved before a client does.
  • A separate interior mode. The app has 36 looks across exterior, interior, landscape and hand-drawn sketch styles, so a room is rendered as a room.
  • Client review links. On Pro and up you send a link. Your client comments on each render or approves it, with no account, and you get an email.
  • Prices you can read at a glance. Prices are shown in your currency with VAT or sales tax included where it applies. Credits never expire, even after you cancel.
  • The first render needs no account. You can try 1 render every 24 hours without signing up. After sign-up you get 5 renders and 5 fixes.
  • Your language, or your chat. The app is in 13 languages, and you can add it to ChatGPT or Claude as a connector and ask for a render in the chat.
  • A studio behind the tool. We are an architectural visualization studio with 1,200+ projects since 2013. When a job needs finished images, the same people can make them.

mnml.ai vs AI Render Studio side by side

The table uses what each company states on its own pages on 5 November 2026. “Not found” means we did not find it on the pages we read, not that it does not exist.

Our current plans and credit packs are on the AI Render Studio pricing page. We link to it instead of copying the prices here, because they are shown in each visitor’s currency.

Is mnml.ai free?

mnml.ai has no time-limited trial. Every new account starts with 100 free credits that do not expire, with no card. That is enough for a few Fast renders. After that, you need a plan, a top-up or the one-time pack.

Our free start works differently. Your first render needs no account at all. After sign-up you get 5 renders and 5 fixes. Free renders carry a small logo and are for personal use, so for client work you buy any plan or credit pack.

How to choose between the two

Both tools start from a view of your design, so the choice comes down to how you work.

A plugin keeps you inside SketchUp; a screenshot works from any program. Both start from the same view of your model.
  • Choose mnml.ai if you want to render from inside SketchUp, Revit or Rhino, you need 8K or DXF output, or you want many design tools in one subscription.
  • Choose AI Render Studio if renders go to clients, you want a free re-run when the lines drift and failed renders refunded, or you want the price in your currency with tax included.
  • Test both with the same view of one of your own projects. Count the windows and floors in each result and compare the roof line with your model.

When to use a studio instead

mnml.ai and our AI Render Studio both make images for options and early concepts. Neither one checks the image against your drawings. For planning, a competition jury or a sales launch, every detail must match, and a person should check it. For those images, we build the 3D model from your drawings and check it against them. See architectural visualization for how that works, or read the difference between CGI and AI.

What is the best mnml.ai alternative for client work?

If renders go to clients, look for a way to check the result against your model and a clear rule for what happens when the AI gets it wrong. Our AI Render Studio has a drag line on every render, a free re-run when the lines drift, automatic refunds for failed renders and review links for clients. Your first render needs no account, so you can test it on your own model first.
