  • 8 Canadian studios compared by location, focus and services, plus 3Dstudio.co.
  • Every other entry uses facts from the studio's own website or LinkedIn page, checked in October 2026.
  • A table shows which studio says it fits which kind of project.
  • Canada advice on pre-construction marketing, time zones, units, French, usage rights and price.

Canadian architectural rendering studios include Norm Li and Render 3D Quick in Toronto; Adessa Visuals, Form & Sense and RealSpace 3D in Vancouver; Pacific Render Studio in Victoria; TNT Render Studio in Calgary; and Minuit Moins Une near Quebec City. This list compares those 8 studios, plus 3Dstudio.co, by location, services and what each says it focuses on.

Together these 3D visualization companies and architectural visualization studios cover stills, animation, virtual tours and VR. A table of which studio fits which kind of project comes after the entries. To see how we work, read about our architectural visualization service.

About this list: it is written by 3Dstudio.co, and we include ourselves, marked as our studio. Every other entry uses facts from the studio’s own website or its LinkedIn page, checked in October 2026. Featured on this list and something has changed? Contact us through 3dstudio.co and we will update the entry.

How we chose these studios

Searches for 3D rendering companies in Canada return many city pages of studios based abroad. We left those out. Ours is the only studio on the list that is not based in Canada, and it is marked as ours. We began with searches for Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal, then kept the studios whose own websites we could read. A studio was included when it met these points:

  • Architectural visualization is its core business or a clearly named service line.
  • Its website shows a public portfolio and was active when we checked in October 2026.
  • It is headquartered in Canada.
  • Its website states which services it offers and who it works for.

Some facts are not on a studio’s website. In those cases the entry names LinkedIn as the source. A field we could not find is marked “not listed” in the table.

How to choose a rendering company in Canada

A portfolio shows what a studio can make. The points below show how it will work with you, and they apply to every studio on this list, including us. For the full checklist, read our guide to how to compare 3D rendering companies. For projects in the US, see our list of 3D rendering companies in the USA.

Clocks for Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Halifax and Tallinn at the same moment, showing how much of a Canadian working day overlaps with ours.
  • Pre-construction condo marketing: condo and townhouse projects in Toronto and Vancouver are often sold before they are built, so images are needed early, while the design can still change. Ask how the studio handles design changes after the first images. Our guide to rendering for pre-construction marketing covers what to prepare, and our page for real estate developer rendering explains how we work with sales teams.
  • Time zones: for most of the year, Tallinn is 7 hours ahead of Toronto, 6 hours ahead of Halifax, 9 hours ahead of Calgary and 10 hours ahead of Vancouver. North America and Europe change their clocks on different dates, so the gap is 1 hour smaller for a few weeks in March and for about a week at the end of October. With a studio in Europe, files and comments you send at the end of your day reach the studio at the start of its working day. Live calls need more planning than with a studio in your own city.
  • Metric and imperial drawings: Canadian drawings may use meters, feet and inches, or both on one set. Ask the studio to confirm the units before modeling, and check key dimensions on the untextured model.
  • English and French: for Quebec projects, ask whether the studio can read French drawings and notes, and whether text on the images should be in French, English or both. Ask for versions without text too, so the same image can be reused in either language.
  • Usage rights: get in writing what you may do with the finished images: brochures, listing portals, hoardings, press and planning submissions. Check that no new fee applies to any of them.
  • NDA: an unbuilt project is usually confidential. Ask whether the studio signs an NDA before you send the first file.
  • Price model: studios charge per image, per project or by the hour. Ask which model applies, what the price includes, and what happens to the price if you add views later.

Questions about 3D rendering companies in Canada

What is the difference between 3D visualization companies and architectural rendering companies?

The terms overlap. Architectural rendering companies focus on images of buildings. 3D visualization companies may also make film, VR, branding or event content. Norm Li, for example, presents rendering within a wider creative-studio offer.

How do 3D rendering companies in Canada price their work?

Studios usually price in one of 3 ways: per image, per project or by the hour. Ask which one applies, which currency the quote is in and whether sales tax is added. The price usually depends on the number of views, the size and complexity of the scene, how ready your files are, the resolution, how much styling is needed, and whether the scene already exists from earlier work. We give one fixed price per project before work starts. See how we price a project and our guide to what drives 3D rendering cost.

Do rendering studios bill by the hour?

Some do. We bill by the hour only for open-ended work such as 3D modeling and edits. A rendering project has one fixed price. If a studio bills by the hour, ask what the hours cover and whether you can set a limit.

How long does an architectural rendering take?

At 3Dstudio.co, a single view takes about a week and a medium set takes 2 to 3 weeks. Other studios set their own timelines, so ask each one for a delivery date in writing before work starts.

Which 3D rendering companies are in Montreal?

No studio based in Montreal is on this list. The nearest one here is Minuit Moins Une, in the Quebec City area, which says it works for Quebec developers and architects. A Montreal project can also use a studio in another city. Render 3D Quick says it works for clients across Canada, the US and elsewhere, and we work remotely from drawings.

Do I need a rendering studio in my own Canadian city?

No. A studio in another city or country can work from your drawings: the drawings give the building, and photos or a map give the surroundings, so nobody has to visit. Before you hire a studio abroad, check that it accepts your file formats (such as DWG, PDF plans, SketchUp or Revit), that it confirms the units, and that it knows which language any text on the images must be in. If you only have a DWG file, our free DWG to PDF converter makes a PDF you can share. Read more in our guide to outsourcing 3D rendering.
