3D rendering companies are studios that turn architectural drawings and models into images, films and tours of buildings that are not built yet. This list compares 10 of them in 2026: 3Dstudio.co (our studio), Arqui9, BergaGonzรกlez, Brick Visual, Hayes Davidson, Maverick Frame Studio, Pixelflakes, The Boundary, Yantram Studio and ZOA Studio.

It is written for architects, developers, interior designers and property marketers who are looking for 3D visualization companies to hire. These are architectural rendering companies, or they offer architectural visualization as a clear service line. For each architectural visualization studio, the tables and entries show where it is based, what it offers and which projects it fits. To see how we work, read about our architectural visualization service.

About this list: it is written by 3Dstudio.co, and we include ourselves, marked as our studio. Every other entry uses facts from the studio’s own website or its Clutch profile, checked in October 2026. Featured on this list and something has changed? How we chose these studios

We started from the studios named in Google results and on third-party lists for 6 searches in October 2026, such as 3D rendering companies and architectural visualization studios. We kept the studios whose services and focus we could check on their own websites. A studio was included when it met these points:

  • Architectural visualization is its core business, or the specialism it names for itself.
  • Where its portfolio projects carry dates, the latest one is from 2024 or later.
  • Its website states what services it offers and who it works for.
  • It names where it is based.
  • We looked for an independent profile, such as Clutch. A studio without one was not left out for that reason.

We left out agencies where architectural visualization is one service among many, and studios whose websites we could not check. Every fact below comes from a studio’s own website or its Clutch profile, and a field we could not find is marked “not listed”. The well-known names that are not entries are explained after the studio entries.

Which studio fits which project

Start from the row that matches your project, then compare only those studios. The right column lists the studios whose own pages name that service.

What you need Studios that list it
Still images with one fixed price and delivery date before work starts 3Dstudio.co
Planning images and verified views Hayes Davidson
Competition entries ZOA Studio
Property branding with visualization BergaGonzรกlez
Marketing film plus virtual showrooms or sales software The Boundary
Real-time 3D and VR Arqui9, Brick Visual
Architecture plus product or advertising CGI Maverick Frame Studio, ZOA Studio, Brick Visual
Rendering plus CAD drafting and floor plans Yantram Studio, and 3Dstudio.co for 3D floor plans

The table lists what each studio says it offers, not a ranking.

Services each 3D rendering company lists

This table shows which services each studio lists on its own pages. A cell says “yes” only when the service appears in that studio’s list.

Studios you may expect to see here

Some well-known names appear in search results or on other published lists but are not entries here. DBOX describes itself as a creative communications and marketing agency, with architectural visualization as one service among many. Neoscape presents itself as a full-service strategy and marketing agency, and Kilograph as a narrative strategy and creative agency. We could not open the MIR website for checking, so nothing about it is verified. For Luxigon we found no dated project after 2022 on its site. These are the reasons for our selection, not a judgement of anyone’s work.

How to choose a 3D rendering company

A portfolio shows what a studio can make. The points below show who the studio is and how it works, and they apply to every studio on this list, including us. If your project is interiors, how to choose an interior rendering studio covers materials and furniture specifications.

Untextured white clay model of two rows of low terraced houses with flat roofs, parked cars and shrubs, before materials and light, Finland
An untextured grey model from our work: this is the stage to ask every studio about, because camera, lens and height are agreed here before materials are added.
  • Portfolio fit: look for a building of a similar type and scale, and ask to see a full set from one project, not only the best image. Our portfolio shows how we present sets.
  • Recent work and a real address: check that the portfolio has current projects and that the site shows a street address and named people.
  • Independent reviews: read reviews on a platform the studio does not control, and look at how many there are and how recent they are, not only the score. You can read our client reviews.
  • Drawing checks: ask who checks the model against your drawings before delivery. AI image tools are good for exploring options. They can change or drop details, and nothing in the output is checked against your drawings. For images that must match the drawings, a studio builds and checks the model.
  • Grey model stage: ask whether you see an untextured grey model first, so camera, lens, height and time of day are agreed while changes are cheap. Read how our process works.
  • Time zone: a studio many hours away can mean answers arrive the next morning, which matters most at the grey model and first-look stages.

How rendering companies price their work

Studios quote per project, per image or by the hour. Ask which one applies and what it includes. With us, the first view of a scene carries the cost of building the model, so further views of the same scene cost much less. Ask every studio whether it prices extra views the same way. Compare quotes for the same scope: the same number of views, the same resolution and the same number of revision rounds. Our fixed project pricing is on the pricing page, and our guide to what drives 3D rendering cost explains the factors.

Questions to send every studio before you hire

Paste these 8 questions into one email, attach the same files and send it to 2 or 3 studios. The answers are easier to compare when every studio gets the same questions.

Diagram of 3 rendering quotes compared row by row on views and resolution, revision rounds, usage rights, NDA, delivery date and price model
Three quotes lined up row by row on the same 6 points, so a missing answer in one quote is easy to see.
  1. Which of your projects is closest to mine in type and scale, and can I see the full set?
  2. What do you need from me to quote? For example DWG, PDF plans and elevations, SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD or IFC models, material specifications and reference images.
  3. Is the price fixed per project, per image or by the hour, and what changes it?
  4. How many revision rounds are included, and what does a change cost after that?
  5. Do you show an untextured grey model before materials are added?
  6. What is the delivery date, and is it agreed in writing before work starts?
  7. Which uses are included in the price, such as brochures, portals, hoardings, press, social media and planning submissions?
  8. Will you sign an NDA before I send files?

For comparison, these are our answers. We show a grey model first. The price is one fixed price per project, and the price and delivery date are agreed before work starts. We include 2 revision rounds, then refine until sign-off. You get full usage rights to every delivered image, with no license fee. We work under NDA as standard. To get the same answers for your project, request a quote with drawings, a PDF or even a photo of a sketch.

Red flags in a quote

  • No grey model stage before the final images.
  • No written limit on revision rounds.
  • Usage rights are not stated.
  • No delivery date in the quote.

Studio, freelancer or offshore production team

A common worry is who does the work and where it is done. Ask the same questions to every provider, then add the questions that fit the type.

Type of provider Extra questions to ask
Studio with its own team Who builds the model, and who checks it against my drawings? Can another person take over if the deadline is tight?
Freelancer Who checks the model against my drawings, if not me? What happens to my project if you are unavailable?
Production studio in a distant time zone When do answers arrive at the grey model and first-look stages? Who is my contact, and is the work done by that team or passed on?

With all 3 types, get the NDA and the usage rights in writing before you send files.

Questions about 3D rendering companies

What are the top 3D rendering companies?

Lists of the top 3D rendering companies differ from site to site, and several are published by studios that include themselves, as this one does. In the 6 searches we checked in October 2026, the names seen most often were Brick Visual, Hayes Davidson, Maverick Frame, MIR and The Boundary, followed by DBOX and Luxigon. Brick Visual, Hayes Davidson, Maverick Frame Studio and The Boundary are entries on this page. The reasons MIR, DBOX and Luxigon are not entries are in the section on studios you may expect to see.

How do I check that a 3D rendering company is reputable?

Check 5 things: a public portfolio with recent work of the same building type, a full set from one project, reviews on a platform the studio does not control and how many there are, a stated office address, and written terms for revisions, usage rights and NDA. Ask the questions in the list above and compare the answers from 2 or 3 studios.

How much does it cost to hire a 3D rendering company?

Studios price rendering per project, per image or by the hour, so ask which model applies. The price depends on the number of views, the size and complexity of the scene, how ready your files are, the resolution, and whether the scene already exists from earlier work. Compare quotes only when the scope is the same.

Which 3D rendering companies work with architects?

The Boundary, ZOA Studio, Arqui9, Hayes Davidson and 3Dstudio.co all name architects as clients on their own websites. You can see how we work with architects on our page for architects.

Can ChatGPT or AI image tools replace a 3D rendering company?

No, not for work that must match drawings. AI image and video tools are good for exploring options and early concepts. They can change or drop details such as window frames, balconies or the roofline, and nothing in the output is checked against your drawings. For images that must match the drawings, a studio builds the model from the drawings and a person checks it.

What files does a 3D rendering company need for a quote?

A studio needs your drawings or model. Typical files are DWG, PDF plans and elevations, SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD, 3ds Max or IFC models, material specifications and reference images. Photos or a map show the surroundings. At 3Dstudio.co, even a photo of a hand sketch is enough for a quote. If you cannot open a DWG file, our free DWG to PDF converter turns it into a PDF first.

Do I need a studio in my own country?

Not always. A studio can work remotely from drawings, so a studio in another country can serve you. The table above shows where each studio is based and which other offices it lists. A nearby time zone helps with quick answers at the grey model and first-look stages. We deliver to clients in 17 countries.
