3D rendering companies in the UK include Hayes Davidson, The Boundary, Line Creative and Recent Spaces in London, Our Studio in Manchester and 3D Lines in Bedford. This list compares 16 studios, 3Dstudio.co included, by location, verified views, real-time work, film and the latest dated work we found.
These are architectural rendering companies and 3D visualization studios, and some are CGI agencies that also make film and sales tools. 9 have their main UK base in London and 6 are based elsewhere in England. We are in Tallinn, Estonia, and work for UK clients remotely. To see how we work, read about our architectural visualization service.
About this list: it is written by 3Dstudio.co, and we include ourselves, marked as our studio. Every other entry uses facts from the studio’s own website or its Clutch profile, checked in October 2026. Featured on this list and something has changed? Contact us through 3dstudio.co and we will update the entry.
How we chose these studios
We built the long list from 7 search queries, for example “cgi companies london architecture” and “top CGI studios UK property”, and from studios named on third-party lists. Then we read each studio’s own website. A studio is on the list when it meets these points:
- Architectural visualization is its core business, or a clearly named service line.
- Its own website shows a public portfolio and states which services it offers.
- It is based in the UK or works for UK clients.
- It is not mainly a product-image or film business.
We record the latest dated item we found on each website, such as a project, a news item or a blog post. Where a site shows no dates, the table says “no dates shown”, and we make no claim about recent work. We looked for a Clutch profile for every studio. We found a rating for 2 studios, Marygold Studio and us. For the others we did not locate a profile, which does not mean none exists. A field we could not find is marked “not stated”.
UK 3D rendering companies compared
The columns show what each studio lists on its own website. “Not stated” means the site does not list it, not that the studio cannot do it. The last column is the latest dated item we found.

| What you need | What to ask the studio | Studios on this list that state it |
|---|---|---|
| Verified views for a planning application | Which TGN 06/19 type or AVR level do you produce, and do you supply a methodology statement? | F10 Studios, Hayes Davidson, Our Studio (Manchester). 3Dstudio.co works to camera positions fixed by a surveyor. |
| Marketing images for an off-plan launch (brochures, portals, hoardings) | At what resolution do you deliver, and does it print at hoarding size? | Studios that name marketing or property marketing: 3Dstudio.co, 3D Lines, Charles Roberts Studios, F10 Studios, Marygold Studio, Maverick Frame Studio, Our Studio (Manchester), Pixelflakes, The Boundary |

Our own entry: 3Dstudio.co
3Dstudio.co (our studio)
3Dstudio.co is an architectural visualization studio in Tallinn, Estonia, 2 hours ahead of London. We have been in business since 2013 and have completed 1,247 projects for 215 client companies in 17 countries, the UK among them. 125 of 220 clients came back for another project. We are rated 5.0 on Clutch.
You upload your files, and a fixed quote and delivery date come back within 30 minutes. The work moves through 4 stages: files, an untextured clay model where camera, lens and time of day are agreed, a photoreal first look of one view, and final delivery in 4K. See how our process moves from clay model to final image. 2 revision rounds are included. Up to 8K to 12K is available on request for large-format print, such as site hoardings. You get full usage rights to every image, with no license fee, and we work under NDA as standard.

The same London dining room as a 3D model on the left and the final render on the right. Camera, lens and time of day are agreed at the model stage.
For planning, we make photomontages to the camera positions a surveyor gives us, and we return the position, height and lens used for every view. The site survey and any third-party verification come from the surveyor, not from us. We also cover 3D exterior rendering and marketing sets, and we have a page on 3D rendering for London projects. Best for: UK developers and architects who want one fixed price and a delivery date before work starts, from a remote studio.

Verified views for UK planning applications
A verified view is a photomontage made to a documented, survey-based method, so a planner can check the position, scale and height of a proposed building. 2 documents set out the method. The Landscape Institute’s Technical Guidance Note 06/19, Visual Representation of Development Proposals (17 September 2019), defines 4 visualization types. Type 4 is a photomontage that can be checked against a survey. In London, the Mayor of London’s London View Management Framework guidance (2012) defines Accurate Visual Representations, AVR 0 to AVR 3. AVR 1 is a wireline view, and AVR 3 also shows materials.

To make a verified view, a studio needs camera positions fixed by a survey, survey control points and the camera and lens data, and it submits a methodology statement with the images. These views are often commissioned through a planning consultant or landscape architect, as part of a landscape and visual impact assessment. Studios on this list that state they offer verified views are F10 Studios, Hayes Davidson and Our Studio (Manchester). We build to camera positions fixed by a surveyor, as our page on visuals for urban planning and planning applications explains. Ask your planning consultant what your planning authority expects before you brief a studio.

Questions to ask a UK studio before you sign
A portfolio shows what a studio can make. These 7 questions show how it works with you, and they apply to every studio on this list, including us. For the full checklist, read our guide to how to compare 3D rendering companies.
- Who keeps the 3D scene, and what do later views cost? If the studio keeps the scene, later views can reuse it.
- Can the images be used on hoardings, portals, press and planning submissions without a new fee? Ask for the usage rights in writing.
- How many revision rounds are included? Ask what happens after the last round.
- What resolution do you deliver, and does it print at hoarding size? A web image is not enough for a large print.
- Do you supply a methodology statement for verified views? A planner will ask for it.
- Will you sign an NDA before I send files? An unbuilt project is usually confidential.
- What happens if the delivery date is missed? Get the answer in writing before you pay a deposit.
A London studio is easier for in-person meetings. With us, most of the working day overlaps with London. For a quote from us, send DWG, PDF plans and elevations, or SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD or IFC files. If you need a PDF from a DWG, try our free DWG to PDF converter. A photo of a hand sketch is enough to start. You can send your drawings for a quote.
How UK rendering studios price their work
Studios use 3 pricing models. Some price per image, some price per project, and some bill by the day or by the hour. With per-image pricing, check whether the first view includes the cost of building the scene. Per-project pricing covers the whole brief for one agreed price. Billing by the day or hour suits open-ended work.
These things move a rendering price: the number of views, the size and complexity of the scene, how ready your files are, the resolution (hoarding print needs far more pixels than a web image), how much art direction and styling you need, and whether the scene already exists from earlier work. In our quotes, the first view of a scene carries the cost of building it, and further views of the same scene cost much less.
We price per project, as one fixed price agreed before work starts. We do not discount the same scope. If the budget is tight, we rescope: fewer views, one hero image instead of a set, or standard instead of large-format resolution. See how our fixed project price works and our 3D rendering cost guide. Before you compare quotes, ask every studio to list in writing what is included.
Questions about 3D rendering companies in the UK
Which CGI studios in London are on this list?
Charles Roberts Studios, Hayes Davidson, Line Creative, Maverick Frame Studio, Pixelflakes, Recent Spaces and VisEngine are London studios, and The Boundary and Marygold Studio have London offices. ArcMedia and Arqui9 also list London. We are in Tallinn and work for London clients remotely.
What is a verified view, and does my UK planning application need one?
A verified view is a photomontage made to a documented, survey-based method so that position, scale and height can be checked. The Landscape Institute’s TGN 06/19 calls the survey-verifiable kind Type 4, and the London View Management Framework uses AVR levels 0 to 3. Whether you need one depends on your planning authority and the visual impact assessment, so ask your planning consultant. F10 Studios, Hayes Davidson and Our Studio (Manchester) state they offer it. We work to camera positions fixed by a surveyor.
Which 3D rendering companies are based outside London?
3D Lines is in Bedford, ArcMedia in Poulton-le-Fylde, Arqui9 in Reigate, F10 Studios in Brighton, Our Studio (Manchester) in Manchester and Somewhere in Liverpool. Remote work from drawings is normal, so location matters mainly for in-person meetings.
How much does it cost to hire a 3D rendering company in the UK?
The price depends on the studio’s pricing model and on views, scene size, file readiness, resolution and art direction. We price per project, as one fixed price agreed before work starts. Our pricing page shows how we quote.
How long does a UK rendering studio take to deliver?
With us, a single view takes about a week and a medium set takes 2 to 3 weeks, and the delivery date is fixed in the quote. For other studios, ask for a delivery date in writing before you pay a deposit.
Do I need a rendering studio in London for a UK project?
Not usually. Most studios work remotely from drawings, and photos or a map give the surroundings. A London studio helps if you want meetings in person. A studio in Europe can work well if the files and approvals are managed online. Read our guide to outsourcing 3D rendering to a studio abroad. If you are a developer planning an off-plan launch from abroad, see our page for real estate developers.
