In this article

  • 15 studios in Norway, Sweden and Finland compared by city, focus and services.
  • Every entry uses facts from the studio's own website, checked in October 2026.
  • A services table shows which studio offers housing selectors, tours and drawings.
  • A Nordic checklist covers time zone, language, planning submissions and pre-sales.

This list compares 15 3D rendering companies in Norway, Sweden and Finland: 6 in Norway (ARQSIX, Digitektene, Lightroom Studio, Maestromedia, Oxivisuals, Sigssoft 3D), 5 in Sweden (3D Team Sthlm, Arkitektbild, FA Works, Studio3D, Visualisera) and 4 in Finland (Go Visual, Noyale, NVIZ Studio, Voima Graphics), plus 3Dstudio.co in Tallinn. For each studio you get its city, founding year, services and the clients it says it serves, taken from its own website.

All of them offer architectural visualization, as their main business or as a named service; such firms are also called 3D visualization companies or architectural rendering companies. Some also sell housing selectors, project websites, film or drawings. To see how we work, read about our architectural visualization service.

About this list: it is written by 3Dstudio.co, and we include ourselves, marked as our studio. Every other entry uses facts from the studio’s own website or its Clutch profile, checked in October 2026. Featured on this list and something has changed? Contact us through 3dstudio.co and we will update the entry.

How we chose these studios

We started from the studios that appear in searches for architectural visualization in each country, and kept the ones we could check on their own websites. A studio was included when it met these points:

  • Architectural visualization is its core business, or a clearly named service line.
  • Apart from our own studio in Estonia, it is based in Norway, Sweden or Finland and serves clients there.
  • Its website is live and shows a public portfolio.
  • Its website states what services it offers and who it works for.
  • It has an independent profile, such as Clutch, where we found one.

We also checked each site for a dated project, blog post or news item from 2024 or later. We found one for 7 of the 15 studios. “Not seen” in the table means we found no dated item. It does not mean the studio is inactive.

We did not find a Clutch profile for any of the 15 other studios when we checked on 1 October 2026, so this list does not compare ratings. A studio whose own website we could not read is not included, and neither are architecture offices that offer visualization only as a side service. A field we could not find is marked “not listed” in the table. Studios are grouped by country and listed in alphabetical order, with 3Dstudio.co first.

Search terms used in Norway, Sweden and Finland

Local studios describe their work in the local language, so an English search finds only some of them. These are the terms that appear on the studio websites and search results we checked. “Not found” means we did not see a term, not that none exists.

How to choose a rendering company in the Nordics

The points below are the ones that matter most in Norway, Sweden and Finland. For the full checklist, read our global list of 3D rendering companies.

3D exterior rendering of a dark modern house on a snow-covered slope below mountains, Norway
A winter view of a house on a snowy slope in Norway, made by 3Dstudio.co: ask each studio for work in your own climate and light.
  • Time zone: Tallinn is 1 hour ahead of Oslo and Stockholm and in the same time zone as Helsinki, so working days overlap almost fully across the region.
  • Language: several studios on this list publish their sites in Norwegian, Swedish or Finnish. Before you send files, agree which language the brief, the feedback and any text on the images will use.
  • Planning submissions: Oslo kommune asks for the 3D model as an attachment to the plan description of a new zoning plan, and for illustrations that follow its standard requirements for illustrations in plan proposals. Ask each studio whether it can work to that standard, not only to a marketing look. In Finland, building permits can be applied for in the Lupapiste online service. Ask the studio to match the permit drawings you submit there. Our guide covers 3D visualization for planning submissions, and we also make site plan rendering for authorities.
  • Housing pre-sales: developers often sell homes before construction ends. Ask for a full set of views, 3D floor plans per home type, and images sized for the listing portals you will use, such as FINN.no in Norway, Hemnet in Sweden, or Etuovi and Oikotie in Finland. See 3D rendering for real estate developers and visuals for pre-construction marketing.
  • Winter light and snow: Nordic projects are often shown in snow or at low sun. Ask whether the same scene can be delivered as a summer and a winter version.
  • NDA: an unbuilt project is usually confidential. Ask the studio to sign an NDA before you send files.

If you are considering us, read how our process works, from the files you send to final delivery.

Questions about 3D rendering companies in the Nordics

Which studios on this list work in more than one Nordic country?

Studio3D has offices in Stockholm and Oslo. 3D Team Sthlm also serves Norway through a separate domain, and Arkitektbild works with clients across Scandinavia. Visualisera says it serves Sweden, the Nordics and Europe. We work from Tallinn for clients in Norway, Sweden, Finland and other countries.

Do I need a rendering studio in my own country?

Not always. Most studios work from drawings and communicate online, so location matters less than process and portfolio. A studio in a nearby time zone shares most of your working day. A local studio can help when you want to meet in person or work in your own language. Our guide to outsourcing 3D rendering explains what to send and what to expect.

Do rendering studios in Norway, Sweden and Finland work in English?

Several studio websites on this list are written only in Norwegian, Swedish or Finnish. ARQSIX writes its website in English and shows projects in other countries, Arkitektbild says it works across Scandinavia, and Visualisera says it serves Sweden, the Nordics and Europe. Ask each studio before you send the brief which language it uses for communication and for text on the images.

How long does an architectural rendering take in the Nordics?

It depends on the studio and the number of views. At 3Dstudio.co, a single view takes about a week and a medium set 2 to 3 weeks. Ask every studio for a fixed delivery date before work starts, and plan a pre-sales launch backward from that date.

What does a Norwegian municipality ask for in a zoning plan proposal?

Oslo kommune asks for a 3D model as an attachment to the plan description, and for illustrations that follow its standard requirements for illustrations in plan proposals. The illustrations go in the plan description or in a separate illustration appendix. Ask your studio to work to that standard.

What is a housing selector?

A housing selector is an interactive tool where buyers choose an apartment or house in a project and see its plan and details. Several studios in Norway, Sweden and Finland list it as a service next to images and websites. It is most useful when a project website sells several home types. For a single house, still images and a floor plan are usually enough. We also build an apartment selector as part of a sales launch.

How are 3D renderings priced by Nordic studios?

Ask each studio whether it quotes per project or per image, and what the quote includes. At 3Dstudio.co, the price depends on the number of views, the size and complexity of the scene, how ready the files are, the resolution, and how much art direction is needed. See how 3Dstudio.co prices a project.
