Virtual staging cost
and why we price per project

Virtual staging with us is one fixed price for the whole set, and projects start at €1,000. For a few photos of one listing, an app or a freelancer is the cheaper choice, and we will tell you so.

  • One fixed price for all the photos, agreed before work starts
  • Every image checked against the original photo before delivery

The short answer

How much does virtual staging cost?

With us, virtual staging is priced per project, not per photo, and projects start at €1,000. What you pay above that depends on the number of rooms, how much has to be cleared out first and whether some rooms are not built yet.

If you have five photos of one apartment, use an app. If you have a building to sell, talk to us.

Most virtual staging prices you see online are per photo, and for a single listing that is the right model. Our work is different: a set of rooms that must match each other, offices, and rooms that only exist on a plan and are rendered instead of photographed.

That is why we quote the set as one fixed number. The ranges below are what typical scopes cost. For the comparison with furnishing a room for real, see virtual staging vs traditional staging.

Smaller projects: from €1,000

The rooms of a few homes or one office floor. €1,000 is our minimum order.

Single-building launch set: €3,000 to €6,000

The images a development needs, which can include staged photos of show units next to renderings of the units not built yet.

Multi-building developer package: €5,000 to €15,000

Several buildings and many layouts, delivered on one schedule.

Open-ended work: €85 per hour

Only for work where the scope keeps changing. A defined set always gets a fixed price.

Types of room

What changes the cost of staging a room

Drag each image to compare. Some rooms are a quick furnish; others need clearing out or a full render first.

Empty living room and kitchen before stagingThe same living room and kitchen virtually staged

Empty homes

The simplest job: furniture added to an empty room. The cost is in matching the scale and the light of the photo.

Meeting rooms

Offices to let, staged so a tenant sees how the room is used. Office furniture is quicker than a styled home.

Empty open-plan office before stagingThe same open-plan office staged with desks
BeforeAfter

Open-plan offices

Large floors with repeated desks, where the number of views matters more than the size of the room.

Shared spaces

Break rooms, lobbies and lounges, which often need lighting and decor as well as furniture.

Which one fits

App, freelancer or studio: which virtual staging is right for you

Virtual staging is sold in three ways. Each one is the right answer for a different job, and we are not always the cheapest choice.

An app

Fast and cheap per photo. A good fit for a few photos of one listing, when nobody will compare the image closely with the real room.

A freelancer

A person edits each photo, usually priced per image. A fit for one listing that needs more care than an app gives.

A studio like us

One fixed price for a whole set: a development's units, offices, rooms that are not built yet, many layouts that must match.

Always: say it is staged

Whoever stages the photos, the listing should say so. Furniture is added; the room itself, the walls and the view are not changed.

Furniture placed, nothing finished

You see the furniture placed in each room, at the right scale and in the photo's light, before any detail is finished. A moved sofa costs almost nothing here.

What moves the price

What decides the cost of virtual staging

Every quote is built from the same questions. Answer them in your brief and the fixed price comes back faster.

  • How many rooms

The number of rooms and photos in the set. A second photo of the same room costs less than a new room.

  • Clearing out first

A room with old furniture or clutter has to be cleared before it is staged, which takes longer than an empty room.

  • Rooms that are not built yet

A room with no photograph is rendered from the floor plan instead, which is more work than staging a photo.

  • Style and finishes

A style guide or a mood board is followed exactly. Without one, we propose a style on the first room.

  • Versions and styles

A second style for the same rooms, for different buyers, costs much less than the first.

  • Changes after sign-off

2 revision rounds are included. New photos after the set is finished are new work, and we say so before we start.

Questions we get asked

Virtual staging cost questions, answered

What people usually ask before they order virtual staging. Still unsure? Send the photos anyway; the fixed price comes back within 30 minutes.

Ask us directly
How much do people charge for virtual staging?
Apps and freelancers usually charge per photo, and studios usually quote per project. We quote one fixed price for the whole set, and our projects start at €1,000. For a few photos of one listing, an app or a freelancer is cheaper.
Why do you not price per photo?
Because the photos in a set have to match: the same furniture style, the same light, the same scale in every room. The work is in the set, not in each photo, so we price the set as one fixed number after we have seen the photographs.
Is virtual staging worth the cost?
For an empty home or office, usually yes. An empty room is hard to read: buyers and tenants cannot judge its size or how it would be used. A staged photo shows that, and it costs much less than furnishing the room for real.
Can I get virtual staging for free?
Some apps offer a few free images. They are fine for trying the idea, but check the furniture scale and the light before you publish them, and say in the listing that the photos are staged.
What makes virtual staging cost more?
Clearing out existing furniture first, rooms that are not built yet and need to be rendered from plans, many different layouts, and several versions of the same room. A second style for a room we have already staged costs much less than the first.
Is virtual staging part of a launch set?
It can be. A single-building launch set, typically €3,000 to €6,000, covers the images a development needs, and staged photos of finished show units can be part of it, made to match the renderings of the units that are not built yet.
