How 3D rendering cost is calculated

Most 3D rendering is priced per project. A single room and a 40-image set are different jobs, so each one gets its own fixed price.

Send drawings, CAD, a PDF, SketchUp or a BIM file, or a photo of a sketch. We prepare the brief from your files, so there is no discovery call, and reply with one fixed price and a delivery date within 30 minutes.

The price is agreed before any work starts, for the images you actually need, and the 10th view of a set is not charged like the first.

Why this page has no price list

A general price list is either so wide that it tells you nothing, or so narrow that it is wrong as soon as your project has an aerial view, a second building or a short deadline. We prefer to price your actual files.

Why the second view costs less than the first

The first view of a scene carries the cost of building it: the 3D model, the materials and the lighting. Every further angle, room or building phase uses the same scene, so each extra image costs much less. This is also why a launch package costs less than the same images ordered separately.

Clay model

We build the 3D model without materials and place the camera. The viewpoint, lens, height and time of day are agreed on this grey model, when changes are quick and cheap.

Preview render

The same view with materials, lighting and surroundings added. You see it early, while the light and the finishes can still be changed easily. 2 revision rounds are included, and we keep refining until you approve.

Final render

The approved image, fully finished and delivered in 4K, with larger sizes for print on request and full usage rights. Every further view in the set uses the scene already built, so each extra image costs much less than the first.

What affects the price

What affects 3D rendering cost

Every quote is built from the same factors. If one of them changes, the price changes, and you can see why.

  • Number of views

    One main view and a set of 40 images are different jobs. The first view of a scene includes the cost of building it. Later views do not.

  • Scene size and complexity

    A studio apartment costs less than a mixed-use block with landscaping, cars and people, even for the same number of images.

  • How complete your files are

    Clean CAD files, a coordinated model and clear material specifications are faster to quote and to build than a folder of sketches.

  • Resolution and file format

    4K covers websites, social media and most print. Large-format prints and billboards at 8K to 12K are a separate deliverable.

  • Art direction and styling

    Standard furniture and a default sky are one level of work. Styling to match a brand, at a chosen time of day, is more work.

  • Changes after the 2 included revision rounds

    2 revision rounds are included in every project. Large design changes after the camera is agreed add time, and we agree their cost before we start them.

  • Repeat work and existing scenes

    A second phase of a project we already built, or a new project from a returning client, starts from a scene that partly exists, so it costs less.

What is included in the price?
Everything needed for the images we agree on: the 3D model, materials, lighting and styling, 2 revision rounds, delivery in 4K and full usage rights. The price and the delivery date are fixed before work starts, so the price only changes if you change the scope.
Do you charge by the hour?
For open-ended work, yes. A defined project gets one fixed price, agreed before work starts, so the price does not grow if a stage takes longer than planned. For work where the scope keeps changing, such as 3D modeling, game assets or design changes during development, we also work by the hour, with an estimate before each task and a time report.
What is the difference between a single image, a launch package and a retainer?
A single image is one view of one building, room or product with a fixed price. A launch package is the full marketing set for a development: exteriors, interiors, 3D floor plans, an aerial view and, if you need them, animation or a 360 virtual tour, on one delivery schedule. A monthly retainer is for clients with regular work: a fixed number of images each month, with priority slots in our schedule.
Is a launch package cheaper than ordering images one by one?
Yes. Every image in a launch package comes from one 3D model, which we build once. Each further image uses the same scene, so the full set costs less than the same images ordered separately, and it is delivered on one schedule.
How does a monthly retainer work?
You get a fixed number of images each month, priority slots in our schedule, the same artist on every project, and your 3D scenes kept ready for the next job. It suits developers, agencies, architecture practices and product brands with regular work. We usually offer a retainer after a first project together, when both sides know the work and the volume.
Do you have a minimum project size?
No. We quote a single interior view the same way as a 40-image set with several buildings, through the same fixed-price process. A one-room project is a smaller price, not a different kind of request.
What if my budget is lower than the quote?
Tell us before we start. We do not discount the same scope, because the price already reflects the work, but most projects can be changed to fit a budget: fewer views, one main view instead of a full set, or 4K instead of large-format resolution. Tell us your budget and we tell you what fits.
Do repeat projects cost less per image?
Yes. The first view of a scene carries the cost of building it, and every further angle, phase or building uses that same work. A second phase of a project we already modelled, or the next development of a returning client, costs less per image than a project that starts from nothing.
