How it works

How to convert GLB to STL

3 steps, and the file never leaves your computer.

1. Drop the GLB file

Drop the .glb file, or the .gltf file together with its .bin and texture files.

2. Check it can be printed

The model opens with its size and triangle count, and the watertight check shows if the mesh is closed. Models made for the web often are not.

3. Download the STL

Binary STL for Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer, or 3MF if your printer prints in colour.

What to check before you print a GLB

Web models are made to look right, not always to print.

Thin and open parts

Leaves, hair, cloth and signs are often single surfaces with no thickness. They show on screen but print as nothing. The watertight check flags open meshes.

The size

glTF models are made in metres, often at real size. Check the size shown before download and scale the print in your slicer.

Materials and textures

STL keeps only the shape. Textures and colours are dropped. Save as 3MF to keep colours for a multi-colour printer.

Animated and rigged models

An animated character is converted in its rest pose. Pose it in Blender first if you want to print it in another position.

How do I convert GLB to STL?
Drop the GLB file on the converter on this page, check the size and the watertight result, and download the STL. It is free and the file is not uploaded.
Can I convert glTF to STL too?
Yes. Drop the .gltf file together with its .bin file and any texture images, and convert it the same way.
Why does my print fail or come out with holes?
Many web and game models are not closed solids. If the watertight check says the model has open edges, close it in Blender or Meshmixer before you print.
Can I keep the colours?
STL has no colours. Save as 3MF instead: it keeps the colours, and Bambu Studio and PrusaSlicer read them.
Is the model uploaded?
No. It is converted in this browser tab on your own computer and never sent to us or anyone else.
